In Karachi’s Defence area on Khayaban-e-Nishat, a violent exchange of gunfire between two rival groups resulted in the deaths of five individuals and injuries to two others. According to police reports, the clash erupted between the Fahad Bugti group and the Ali Haider Bugti group due to a personal dispute.
The police have confirmed that three members of one group and two members of the other were killed in the incident. Disturbingly, all the deceased and injured individuals are cousins. Both groups are affiliated with the family of Nawabzada Akbar Bugti, and among the deceased are Nawabzada Akbar Bugti’s nephew and a cousin.
Hospital authorities have identified the deceased as Mir Maitham Bugti, Mir Isa Bugti, Ali, Fahad, and Naseeb Ullah. The injured, Mir Ali Haider Bugti and Qaim Ali are currently receiving medical treatment.
Sindh’s Interior Minister has requested detailed information from the Additional IG about the incident. Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjhar emphasized that no one is above the law and assured that every possible measure will be taken to uphold the rule of law.
