Sindh’s Transport Minister, Sharjeel Inam Memon, announced plans to relocate Karachi’s bus terminals and introduce a free shuttle service to assist passengers. The shuttle service, aimed at easing the transition for travelers, will commence on August 14. This initiative is designed to transport passengers from the old terminals to the new locations.
Sharjeel Memon highlighted the urgent need to move the bus terminals out of Karachi, citing the current heavy traffic congestion and the strain on city roads as primary reasons. This decision is part of a broader strategy to improve urban mobility and reduce road pressure by relocating the terminals.
Shuttle Service Routes in Karachi The new bus terminals will be equipped with modern amenities, and a police checkpost will be established at the Karachi terminal to ensure security. The shuttle service will operate from several key locations, including Cantt Station, Saghir Shaheed Road, MA Jinnah Road, and Al-Karam Square. This service is designed to benefit both passengers and transporters, ensuring a smooth transition and minimizing disruption.
