Crackdown on Illegal Cattle Markets in Karachi: 33 Markets Dismissed

In Karachi, operations against illegal cattle markets are underway, resulting in the removal of 33 such markets across the city. According to details, a meeting chaired by the Commissioner of Karachi assessed the eradication of illegal cattle markets, with a comprehensive briefing provided via a video link by Deputy Commissioners.


Fifteen markets in Malir, three in Korangi, two in Central, ten in East, and two in Kemari were eliminated during the operation. During the briefing to the Commissioner, it was reported that one market was removed in the South district, with three individuals arrested. Commissioner Karachi instructed immediate action to dismantle all illegal cattle markets. Commissioner Karachi Hasan Naqvi stated that cattle markets established without administrative approval are illegal, and action will be taken against those responsible, with cases filed accordingly.
