Brawl Erupts Between Bride and Groom’s Families at Wedding in Karachi’s Azizabad
KARACHI: What was meant to be a joyous wedding celebration turned into chaos when a violent altercation broke out between the families of the bride and groom in Federal B Area Block 8, Azizabad.
The incident happened inside a local Azizabad wedding hall two days ago. A verbal altercation quickly turned into a physical altercation. The location’s CCTV footage captures a furious argument between relatives on both sides that turned into a physical altercation and chair-throwing.
Several people allegedly resisted and fought with police when they arrived to maintain order. During the effort to restore order, Constable Hafiz Usman was hurt and taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
Three suspects have been arrested for their roles in the altercation, according to authorities. They and 30 to 40 other unnamed people are the targets of a formal complaint. Rioting, vandalism, and assault on police officers are among the charges.
Additionally, police disclosed that some of the participants seemed to have been intoxicated at the time of the incident. To apprehend more suspects linked to the disturbance, raids are presently in progress.
