Zulfiqar Ahmed, a well-known industrialist who was abducted from Maripur area of Karachi on July 23, contacted his family in Lahore, he reached his home.
Zulfiqar Ahmed was forcibly taken away from Maripur Road by unknown persons on July 23. A case of his abduction was registered on July 26 in Kalri police station.
DIG South Asad Raza also confirmed the contact with Zulfiqar Ahmed’s family and said that he has spoken to his family and confirmed the contact with Zulfiqar Ahmed.
According to lawyer Mian Ali Ashfaq, Zulfiqar Ahmed will soon be with his family, his family has been spoken to.
Earlier, lawyer Mian Ashfaq, speaking on Geo News program Naya Pakistan, accused the police of not cooperating in the search of the businessman.
He said that the police also formed an investigation team after filing an application in the High Court.
Mian Ashfaq said that he thinks this case is not a case of kidnapping but forced disappearance.
