Karachi Announces Traffic Changes for Muharram 8, 9, & 10 2024

Karachi traffic authorities have unveiled a detailed traffic plan for the Muharram processions on the 8th, 9th, and 10th of Muharram. The central procession will start at Nishtar Park and finish at Husainia Iranian Kharadar.

According to the traffic police, traffic will be restricted from Guru Mandir Chowk along the procession route, and MA Jinnah Road will be closed to regular traffic during these events. Only vehicles with special permits will be allowed on MA Jinnah Road.

Specifically, MA Jinnah Road will be closed from Guru Mandir to Tower. Traffic from Nazimabad will be rerouted to Nishtar Road and Garden via Lasbela Chowk, while traffic from Liaquatabad will be diverted to Lasbela Chowk from Teen Hatti.

Motorists are advised to plan their routes in advance to avoid any inconvenience. This traffic plan is crucial for ensuring the smooth flow of processions and the safety of participants and the general public.
