Karachi residents should brace for water supply disruptions as maintenance work shuts down key hydrants today and tomorrow. The Water Corporation has announced that the Nipa, Sakhi Hasan, and Safoora hydrants will be out of service due to necessary repairs on the main water line at Karachi University, a critical infrastructure supplying water to significant parts of the city.
During this maintenance period, not only will these hydrants be offline, but related online tanker services will also be suspended. This is expected to cause temporary water shortages for both residents and businesses in the affected areas.
The Water Corporation advises everyone to store sufficient water beforehand and use it conservatively until the repairs are completed. Efforts are being made to finish the work promptly and restore normal services with minimal inconvenience.
