In July 2024, Pakistan will observe two consecutive public holidays in mid-month to mark Ashura, celebrated on Muharram 9 and 10.
The federal government has already included these holidays in the 2024 calendar. The Moon was sighted on July 6 and 1st muharram was observed on July 7, so according to these dates Ashura holidays are on July 15 and 16 i.e. Monday and Tuesday.
