Philanthropy in Focus: Pakistani Celebrities’ Generosity Highlighted by Social Worker Zafar Abbas

Zafar Abbas, a renowned Pakistani social worker and philanthropist from Karachi, is the founder of the JDC Foundation, known formally as the Jafriya Disaster Management Cell Welfare. Established in 2009, JDC focuses on various welfare activities aimed at improving people’s lives.

During Ramadan, JDC organizes large community meals (Dastarkhuwans), distributes Zakat, and provides free medical treatments to the needy. Currently, they are busy procuring sacrificial animals for Eid ul Azha, specifically for those less fortunate.

Recently, Zafar Abbas appeared on Nadir Ali’s podcast where he shared surprising insights about wealthy Pakistani celebrities who are generous without hesitation when it comes to helping the needy. He specifically mentioned Fahad Mustafa, Ahsan Khan, and Nadir Ali. Zafar Abbas recounted an incident involving Fahad Mustafa during a Ramadan show on ARY Digital.

When a Hindu child’s father needed a substantial amount for the child’s bone marrow transplant, Fahad Mustafa not only announced a donation of 2 million rupees during the live show but also promptly transferred the funds.

Thanks to this support, the child recovered and now leads a normal life. Zafar Abbas emphasized that such contributions from celebrities like Fahad Mustafa, Ahsan Khan, and Nadir Ali play a crucial role in helping those in need. Nadir Ali echoed this sentiment, expressing trust in Zafar Abbas and his organization’s genuine efforts in assisting people.
