Karachi police have registered a murder case following the fatal stabbing of a software company’s CEO, allegedly by an employee over unpaid salary issues, as reported by ARY News.
The victim’s brother, Imtiaz, filed the case against the accused, Shoaib, at the Tipu Sultan police station. The tragic incident occurred at Euro Tech Software House, located on the fourth floor of a building on Shahrah-e-Faisal.
According to the complaint, the victim, Naveed, was confronted by Shoaib, an employee who had not received his salary for three months. The confrontation escalated into a heated argument, during which Shoaib attacked Naveed with a knife, inflicting severe injuries. Naveed was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his wounds.
Police reports indicate that Shoaib had been working at the company for nine months, with a monthly salary of Rs 150,000. Shoaib had been demanding his unpaid salary to cover his ailing father’s medical expenses. The dispute ultimately led to a physical altercation and Naveed’s subsequent murder.
Following the incident, Shoaib remained in the office with the murder weapon and was later apprehended by the police.
