Sindh Braces for Scorching Heatwave: Temperatures Soar to 45°C

The intense heatwave in Sindh is set to persist on Monday and Tuesday, bringing extremely hot weather to most parts of the province.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a continental air mass is influencing weather conditions across Pakistan. As a result, extremely hot weather is forecasted for most districts of Sindh at the beginning of the week. Coastal areas will experience hot and humid weather, while central and southern districts are likely to face gusty and dust-raising winds.

In Karachi, temperatures are expected to range between 35-37°C on both days. In Hyderabad, the mercury is predicted to rise between 43-45°C on Monday and Tuesday.

Over the past 24 hours, very hot and dry weather conditions prevailed across most districts of Sindh. Karachi and coastal areas experienced hot and humid weather, with gusty winds affecting the upper districts.

Jacobabad, Dadu, and Mohenjo-Daro were the hottest locations in the province, with maximum temperatures reaching 45°C. Khairpur, Rohri, and Sukkur also recorded high temperatures of 44°C.

In Karachi, the highest temperature recorded was 36°C, with relative humidity in the evening at 57%. In Hyderabad, the maximum temperature hit 43°C, with evening humidity at 30%.
