Bohra Community Leader “Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin” Begins Nine-Day Visit to Karachi

Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, the spiritual leader of the Bohra community, arrived in Karachi on Thursday evening. He was welcomed at the airport’s old terminal by Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori, Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, other high-ranking officials, and a large number of Bohra community members.

According to a press release, Syedna Mufaddal will deliver a series of sermons over nine days, starting from July 8 at Taheri Masjid in Saddar. These sermons will be broadcast live to over 21 centers in Karachi and the neighboring city of Hyderabad.

The press release noted that Syedna Mufaddal accepted an invitation from the government and the local Bohra community to host the “Ashara Mubaraka” congregations in Karachi this year. Over 80,000 Dawoodi Bohras from Pakistan and around the world are expected to attend the events.

Shabbir Harianawala, media coordinator for the Dawoodi Bohras, stated that various committees had been established to manage accommodation, transport, food, and other necessary facilities to ensure that visitors from around the globe could participate comfortably.

“We’re grateful to the government and local authorities for their support and assistance in hosting thousands of attendees and ensuring they have a comfortable stay in the city,” Harianawala added.
