Eid-ul-Adha, also known as the Feast of Sacrifice, commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to God. The festival involves the ritual sacrifice of animals, with the meat distributed among family, friends, and the less fortunate. This practice symbolizes the spirit of giving and community that is central to Eid-ul-Adha celebrations.
The Meat Merchants Association urges customers to book their sacrifices early to ensure availability and avoid last-minute rushes. They also remind customers to follow health and safety guidelines during the sacrificial process to ensure a smooth and respectful celebration.
