Karachi is bracing for a spell of hot and humid weather from today until July 18, with isolated dust thunderstorms and rain expected on the outskirts. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted maximum temperatures between 37°C and 39°C, with a minimum of 30.5°C.

Morning humidity, currently at 73%, is anticipated to rise to 80% over the next two days, while evening humidity is expected to increase from 50-60% to 65%. The wind direction is likely to shift from northwesterly/westerly to southwesterly during this period.

Monsoon currents are set to penetrate the rest of Sindh from today, bringing significant weather changes across various regions. Thunderstorms and rain with occasional heavy falls are expected in Tharparkar, Umerkot, Badin, Thatta, Sujawal, and Jamshoro districts from today until July 21, with occasional gaps.

From July 17 to 20, Sanghar, Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, and Matiari districts are likely to experience thunderstorms and rain with moderate to isolated heavy falls. These showers will occur intermittently.

Between July 18 and 20, thunderstorms and rain with moderate falls are anticipated in Dadu, Kambar Shahdadkot, Larkana, Kashmore, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Ghotki, Sukkur, Khairpur, Naushahro Feroze, and Shaheed Benazirabad districts.

Residents in the affected areas are advised to take necessary precautions and stay updated with the latest weather forecasts to ensure their safety.
