Major Changes in PCB: Selectors Wahab Riaz and Abdul Razzaq Dismissed

Following the disappointing performance in the T20 World Cup, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has initiated significant changes. In the first phase, Wahab Riaz, one of the most influential members of the national selection committee, has been dismissed.

Wahab was also serving as the Sports Minister in Punjab under Mohsin Naqvi and had additional responsibilities as Senior Manager during the World Cup. Alongside him, Abdul Razzaq has also been relieved of his duties from the national selection committee.

Sources indicate that Bilal Afzal, Mohammad Yousuf, and Asad Shafiq are the remaining members of the selection committee.

On Monday night, Mohsin Naqvi met with coaches Jason Gillespie and Gary Kirsten in Lahore. Despite being in Lahore, Babar Azam was not invited to the meeting, fueling speculations that he may lose his captaincy. Shan Masood is expected to captain the Test team against Bangladesh.
